Psychodynamic therapy is conducted once weekly, for a defined and limited number of sessions (typically no more than twelve), organized around a single, specific focus, collaboratively decided upon in the first session.
Knowing precisely where this work begins, and where you would like it to end, is not incidental. The approaching end brings urgency to mix with the material you’ve chosen to place before our brief time together.
Within that frame, we identify the inner defenses that hold realization of this focal problem at a distance, and seek to make contact with your most immediate experience of it.
Offered via telehealth. This work is suited to those with limited time to give to it, and while it cannot offer what longer psychoanalytic work can, it can offer a real opening chapter—one that helps contain and give shape to what is present for you.
